Toledo Bikes seeks a Bicycle Mechanic with an initial weekly commitment of 10-14 hours per week, primarily during open shop hours at a rate of $13 per hour.

Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming customers;
- Managing and carrying out bicycle repairs;
- Providing excellent customer service; and
- Upholding best practices and processes for repair work.
Qualifications:
- A willingness to learn or improve bicycle mechanics skills as needed to carry out program needs;
- Experience working in a bicycle shop setting;
- Carry out routine services and safety checks;
- Ability to take on and carry projects to completion;
- Excellent professionalism and communication skills with co-workers, partner agencies, community partners, and the public;
- Ability to adequately observe participants in activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate management techniques;
- Respectful communication, giving and receiving constructive criticism, and active listening skills;
- Ability to work in a high capacity, fast-paced, often chaotic environment;
- Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent customer service with a strong emphasis on cultural competence;
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.

- Maintain a supportive and respectful work environment for the public, volunteers, staff, and board.
