Bicycle Basics Workshops begin Thursday, November 5:
Class fees are waived to individuals with a $50 and above Toledo Bikes Supporting Membership https://www.toledobikes.org/join.html
Otherwise, the cost of each class is donation-based ($5 - $50). We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and PayPal.
Learn these critical maintenance tips and more: how to clean your bike, make simple adjustments, and when and where to lubricate your bike. Each class participant will learn how to fix fundamental maintenance issues.
The classes also serve as an introduction to shop layout, so you’ll feel at home working on your bike or volunteering in the future during our regular open shop hours.
Workshop attendees typically will want to work on their own bikes, but if you’d instead help work on one of our many donated bikes, let us know.
Class presentations intend to include:
The workshop emphasis is on inspection and knowing when there is a problem. This class benefits cyclists who want to know more about their bicycle, learn about minor repairs, and when it needs service.
- Classes are for adults 18 and older
- For traditional, non-motorized bicycles only
- Workshop sessions are limited to five participants per class; an email will notify registrants of any schedule changes.
